INTRODUCTION
You have to be brave to read this book. It’s different, very different, from most of what you see on TV and read on the internet. The scientific facts here will surprise you, astonish you, maybe shock you. But they’re true. When I was young, perhaps in middle school, I read life started in a dirty pond. The message was I “evolved”—and we’ll talk about what that word means—from pond scum. It didn’t make me feel good. I turned my back on religion and God. If I came from pond scum, if the Bible was wrong on that, why should I believe anything else in it? They lied. It took me decades to figure that out. So how did life get started? To answer that, we’re going to look at how life works. It’s complicated to be sure, but the basic idea is simple. Life runs code, fantastic code, code that builds every part of your body. It’s all more wonderful than you can imagine. And yes, this simple book really does prove God is real. All proofs start with assumptions. The assumptions here are easy to understand and hard to deny. I’ve often wished that, when I was young, when I had doubts, there was someone older and wiser to help me, to reason with me, to lead me to the truth.
