The Lecture was held at the University of Eldoret in North Rift region of Kenya in Kerio Hall. It started at 8.30 am with colorful opening ceremony led by a local brass band which led a procession of the speakers, board members, university management and the first cohort of certificate in Intelligent Design graduands. Over 1,300 participants attended the lecture physically. The lecture was also broadcasted live through YouTube and Facebook. The University management led by the Vice Chancellor appreciated BioCosmos Kenya and BioCosmos Africa for honoring the institution by considering it for a public lecture.

The Chair, BioCosmos Kenya and Chair, BioCosmos Africa introduced the speakers and accompanying board members. They also gave a brief on BioCosmos Kenya and BioCosmos Africa with emphasis on dissemination of information on the theory of Intelligent Design.
During the plenary sessions, participants’ questions were answered appropriately by the two speakers. This shade more light on the lecture topics and also clarifications made on many areas. The management was presented with copies of How and Why the West Lost its Faith and The Mystery and Majesty of Life books. Each participant also received a copy of The Little Book of Creation.

The lecture was followed by a certificate awarding ceremony to the 1st Cohort of Certificate in Intelligent Design graduands. The University Management was grateful to BioCosmos for making the institution to be first in Kenya to mount the certificate as a stand-alone program. A total of 22 students graduated, a ceremony presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the University of Eldoret – Prof. Thomas Cheruiyot. The University plans to enrol the 2nd Cohort of the Certificate Course in intelligent design which is expected draw participants across the whole nation and will be offered both face to face and online.
