An activity for the whole team during the ID awareness day

The event held at the University of Eldoret (UoE) on 21st January 2023 and Masinde Muliro University of Science & Technology (MMUST) on 24th January 2023 was explosive, educative, informative, entertaining and eye catching. The members of BioCosmos Student Clubs provided a platform for scholarly engagement with the wider University community. The Officials from the two Chapters led by their Patrons Fr. Martin Tanui and Dr. Lencer Ndede worked round the clock to ensure that the event was successful and one of its own kind in the Universities as far as Student Club Activities is concerned. The event was graced by two professional DJs: Dj Kevo and Dj Riziki, who from interjected from time to time during the presentations with wonderful performances all themed on the main subject of ID.

Several students both Current and Prospective members of the BioCosmos Student Clubs of the two Chapters presented Poems, Spoken word, Skits and Songs on ID and BioCosmos Trust Foundation. The event attracted hundreds of students and a sign for a bright future given the number of the audience who ultimately registered as club members with several others indicating willingness to become part of BioCosmos Student Clubs.

There was fruitful engagement between the audience and the facilitators who included Dr. Ochieng’ – Chair BioCosmos Kenya, Ms. Sylvia Bett – Alumni of the UoE Certificate Course in Intelligent Design and Mr. Elkana Kibet – a brilliant young Philosopher and Scholar on the subject of Intelligent Design.

The Club Officials had the opportunity to handle several concepts and aspects of ID with confidence, an indication that they are currently grounded in the subject matter of ID. The exposition enlightened the participants who yearned for more of such events so as to improve dissemination, access and uptake of ID information.

The attendance and performance during the ID awareness day at UoE and MMUST is a clear indication that the Theory of Intelligent Design is appreciated amongst the young scholars in the Universities across Kenya.
