Dr. Mwatu presented ID as a scientific theory, explaining the process of inferring design and the fine-tuning of the universe that points to intelligent causation.
- The Positive Case for Intelligent Design:
Dr. Ndede introduced the theory of Intelligent Design, contrasting it with critics’ views. She explained the difference between positive and negative cases in arguments and highlighted the scientific procedures in ID investigations.
- Evolution versus Intelligent Design: Does it Matter?
Fr. Tanui discussed the gaps in Darwin’s theory of evolution and argued that Intelligent Design offers the best explanation for the origin and nature of life and the universe.
Interactive Discussion
Following the lectures, a lively and interactive plenary session was held. Participants engaged in discussions, asked questions, and received clarifications from the speakers. The session underscored the importance of critical thinking and academic discourse.
