The Leadership of the Kwale County Secondary Schools Heads Association held their annual conference at Eka Hotel from 15th to 17th April 2025. This event brought together 109 principals of Secondary Schools from Kwale County to discuss key educational initiatives.

Through the leadership invitation and the encouragement of members like Principal Ngana Kombo, a renowned historian who appreciates the work of BioCosmos Kenya, BioCosmos Kenya was given a platform to address the principals. This opportunity was a testament to the growing recognition of BioCosmos Kenya’s contributions to the educational landscape.

Dr. Lencer Ndede, the National Coordinator of BioCosmos Kenya Student Clubs, delivered an engaging and informative presentation. She provided a detailed overview of the justification for student clubs, highlighting their importance in fostering critical thinking and scientific inquiry among students. Dr. Ndede shared insights into the registered student clubs and their diverse activities.

She emphasized the pivotal role of these clubs in advancing the theory of Intelligent Design in Kenya. Dr. Ndede underscored the need for integrating Intelligent Design into the secondary school curriculum, arguing that it offers a comprehensive framework for understanding the complexities of life and the universe. She also discussed the importance of presenting items with an Intelligent Design theme in Music and Drama Festivals, which can creatively engage students and the broader community.

Furthermore, Dr. Ndede outlined numerous opportunities for schools to partner with BioCosmos Kenya. She highlighted how such partnerships can provide a platform for nurturing young minds, encouraging curiosity, and promoting scientific literacy. Dr. Ndede offered guidance on how to register as a member of BioCosmos Kenya, making it easy for interested Principals to join the foundation.

She also shared details about BioCosmos Kenya’s social media platforms, where members can stay updated on the latest news, events, and resources. Additionally, Dr. Ndede introduced various training opportunities in Intelligent Design, aimed at equipping educators with the knowledge and tools to effectively teach this theory.

The conference was a resounding success, marking a significant step towards fostering collaboration and promoting the understanding of Intelligent Design among secondary school principals in Kwale County. Based on the number of Principals who requested for detailed contacts of the National Coordinator of BioCosmos Kenya Student Clubs, it was evident that the principals left the conference inspired and equipped with new ideas to enhance their schools’ extracurricular activities.
