Achievements Over the Past 3 Years
With the financial support from BioCosmos Africa, BioCosmos Kenya has:
- Conducted over 30 courtesy calls and follow-ups in various universities
- Delivered public lectures on Intelligent Design in 22 universities
- Attended 3 Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association meetings
- Established 30 student clubs, which serve as vital platforms for the access, dissemination and uptake of Intelligent Design
These student clubs are instrumental in nurturing young minds, who are the future engineers of academic, worldview and mindset change in society. Many universities now teach Intelligent Design as part of a unit course, a standalone unit, or a full program.
Engagement with Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD)
Our fruitful engagements with KICD have led to:
- A book authored by Prof. Kjell Tveter being considered as a supplementary book in the school system
- Participation in stakeholders’ workshops, where we seconded members to subject panels
- We hope that KICD will consider incorporating Intelligent Design into the secondary school curriculum
Future Focus
As we embark on our 4th year, we aim to:
- Strengthen our presence in institutions we have previously visited
- Follow up on the implementation of set objectives and mission of BioCosmos Kenya
- Upscale the operations of student clubs
