Many people around the world have been taught that the universe and everything within it are self-existent and self sustaining—that all things came about through chance.According to this view, there is no metaphysical dimension to reality and no transcendent cause beyond matter and energy. This perspective is referred to as Naturalism or Materialism. Naturalism maintains that random interactions of matter and energy are sufficient to explain all aspects of the universe, including life. Given this framework, an important question arises: Are there features, conditions, or relationships within reality that naturalistic explanations fail to adequately account for? Are such phenomena better explained by intelligent agency?
BioCosmos Kenya is a registered trust foundation committed to presenting the perspective of Intelligent Design, a relatively recent field of scientific inquiry. While Naturalism maintains that undirected processes and blind chance are sufficient to explain the entirety of reality, Intelligent Design argues that certain features of the universe and of living systems exhibit purpose, order, and intentionality—characteristics that are best explained by intelligent agency.
BioCosmos Kenya maintains that biological information is best understood as the product of intelligent agency.
In our experience, all known forms of information originate from an intelligent mind. It is not plausible that any instance in which complex, specified information arises purely through random processes. Naturalists, however, are not at ease with this conclusion. They claim that the information observed in living systems can be fully explained by natural causes. From their perspective, methodological and philosophical commitments to naturalism lead them to exclude intelligent agency as a valid explanation within the study of nature.
Our aim is to present clear and compelling evidence for intelligent agency in nature on this webpage. Over time, we will add articles and videos that highlight aspects of life consistent with the principles of Intelligent Design.
As new scientific developments emerge, this website may be updated to reflect current researchand ongoing discussions in the field. BioCosmos Kenya (BCK) was registered in Kenya in April 2022 as a non-profit trust.
It operates as an affiliate of the Norwegian foundation, BioCosmos Africa (www.biocosmosafrica.org).
BioCosmos Kenya (BCK) has a sister organization in Tanzania, BioCosmos Tanzania (BCT), which was established and registered as a trust in November 2023.
